Mount Palung National Park at West Kalimantan

National Park Mountain Trench (TNGP) is a national park located in Ketapang, West Kalimantan, about 30 minutes flight from Pontianak. This vast national park is 90,000 hectares, which lies in the Northern District of Matan Hilir, Sukadana, Simpang Hilir, Nanga Tayap, and Sandai.

TNGP have ecosystems that are described as the most comprehensive in the national parks in Indonesia. Mountain Trench in the region are having a height of 1116 meters. In addition, TNGP also is habitat for approximately 2200 orangutans. Proboscis monkeys are mammals with the largest amount in TNGP.
